KANYE WEST 808S AND HEARTBREAK REVIEW MOVIE Ye’s singing with the auto-tune is excellent. His lyrics in the verses are also excellent. The highlight of this song is the incredible outro, which is beautiful and catchy. This song is one of the more somber songs of the album and is another one of Ye’s best. While the lyrics are mostly the same two sections repeated a couple of times, they are great and Ye’s vocal performance is incredible. The recording sounded like it may not have been recorded with the best equipment, but it sounds great that way as a vocal effect. The background vocals are the icing on top for this song and while I don’t think it was him, I heard a voice similar to Nate Dogg’s in there, which makes me think of how great a Nate feature on this album would have been. The vocals, like the rest of the album, are heavily auto-tuned. The raw vocals sound great through the effect and while you have to listen if you want to really understand what the lyrics are, they are great. The song is also catchy but at the same time, you can feel Kanye’s pain. The production also sounds really good and it gets time to shine in the second half of the song, which is entirely instrumental, similar to “Say You Will.” This once again gives the track breathing time while giving hte listener a great listening experience, creating yet another great song.ġ0.
Wayne was featured on “Barry Bonds” off Graduation and while that song was good, this collaboration would need to step it up in order to be at the level of the nine previous songs.
